Power Paste is Orange Glo's® incredible foaming cleanser. The "incredible" part is how it cleans. You simply add a small amount of water to the Power Paste to make a thick foam. You then apply the foam to a tough stain - let it stand about a minute - and then rub away the stain. Hmmm... it may be that this doesn't sound so incredible, but it does work pretty well. The reason is because Power Paste contains a mild abrasive that helps eradicate a stain as you are cleaning it.
We put Power Paste to the test on some tough caked-up, baked on grease and food stains on our stove top and toaster oven. At first, the Power Paste didn't seem to work as we were just dabbing it on the stains and not really making any foam. After about five minutes of rubbing at the stains with no success, we worked up a pretty good amount of foam and applied it to the stains and let is stand for a couple of minutes. We then rubbed the stains with a scrunge and the stain started to dissipate. We found that creating a nice amount of thick foam and then letting it sit on a stain for a couple of minutes works best.
For some of the harder baked on stains that are normally found on stove burners and drip pans, we used the Power Paste in conjunction with the Orange Clean concentrate. We found that using these together work very well to help remove very stubborn caked-up grease stains that have set in from months of cooking and baking.
Again, the key to cleaning with the Power Paste is in creating a nice amount of thick foam. You then apply the foam to the stain and let it stand from a few short seconds to a couple of minutes. By doing this, you're letting the Paste do the work as it starts breaking down the stain.
Power paste is not only great for cleaning your kitchen, but it also works great in your bathroom. However, for cleaning your shower and bathroom tiles, we recommend using the Orange Clean Foam. The Orange Foam may be a bit more practical as it is a spray foam and can simply be sprayed on a stain and then wiped off.
You can also opt to use the Paste in conjunction with the Orange Foam depending on how tough your cleaning job is. This is exactly what we did when cleaning our bathroom tub. We worked up a good amount of foam using the Power Paste and applied it to our tub. We also sprayed on some of the Orange Clean Foam and then started scrubbing away. The stains didn't have a prayer. We didn't use the Paste on our bathroom tiles as they are shiny and we didn't want to risk scratching them with the mild abrasive that the Power Paste contains. For that we used the Orange Clean Foam. To read our review for the Orange Clean Foam, click here.
Aside from its effectiveness in removing tough grease stains, Power Paste is safe to use and gentle to the nose. We don't recommend using the power paste on shiny surfaces or any surface that you don't want scratched as it does contain a mild abrasive.
As with any product, be sure to adhere to the manufacturer's instructions when using Power Paste.
