Orange Foam Review

Orange Clean Foam is by far the Orange Glo Company's most powerful cleaner and degreaser. Made with 40% pure orange oil, this power house can clean even the nastiest grease stains.

We first tested this powerhouse in the most obvious place: our oven. The inside of a conventional oven, like most other ovens, is one of the most unfriendliest environments in a home. You've got baked-on grease, caked-up stains, a broiler with glops of spilled food stains that resemble mountainous terrains and grills that were once a nice & shiny stainless steel color - now so black with grease stains that you don't even know where they are anymore. With stains like this, it's no wonder that most people I know clean their ovens once every couple of months. Still other folks I know clean their ovens once a year - usually on or about the Holiday Season.

In our test, we simply applied the Foam on the grills, the broiler, the oven door and on the inside walls of the oven. After the application, we allowed the foam to sit for about an hour. One good thing about the Orange Foam is that it 'clings' to a vertical surface which allows for minimum dripping and maximum cleaning. We also closed the door to the oven to keep smell of the Foam from overwhelming us. Yes, the smell of Citrus based cleaners can be overwhelming at times. Please read our article on Orange Glo & Citrus Cleaners for more info.

We allowed the Foam to sit for an hour for maximum cleaning capacity. That is - to allow the surfacants in the Orange Clean Foam to do their job. After the hour was up, we came in with scrub pads and sponges ablazing. Those nasty grease stains didn't stand a chance.

Now, one would wonder why not use Orange Glo's Power Paste instead. Truthfully, you could. It really depends on your preferences. When cleaning an oven, you might want to allow the cleaner to do all the work - just as we did. We felt that using the Foam was more practical for this particular cleaning job. The Orange Clean Foam and Power Paste do work very well together and you might want to use them in conjunction depending on how tough your cleaning job is. Also, the Power Paste contains an abrasive that you may or may not want to use when cleaning a shiny surface. Again, we just thought it more practical to clean our oven with the Foam. The next place we attacked with the Orange Foam was our bathroom. A bathroom can be home to all sorts of stains, including mold, mildew, soap scum, rust, watermarks... we're sure you get the picture. Anyway, we sprayed our bathroom tiles and bath tub with the foam and let it sit for about thirty seconds to a minute. For the bathroom tiles we exclusively used the Foam. For our bath tub, we used the Foam in conjuction with the Power Paste. After the minute was up we put our sponges to work. With little effort, any water and soap scum stains on our tub and tiles were immediately irradicated. Mold and mildew stains took a little more scrubbing. The end result was a spotless bathroom - worthy enough to merit a visit from royalty ; ).

The bottom line is that the Orange Clean Foam is an excellent cleaner that packs a powerful punch to help wipe out almost any stain.

As with any product, be sure to adhere to the manufacturer's instructions when using Orange Clean Foam.
